Great news Directioners! It has been confirmed that One Direction ARE filming a follow-up to their movie This Is Us.
The boys kicked off their Where We Are tour this month and with their filmmaker and producer pal Ben Winston on the road with the band, rumours have been flying a second movie is in the works.
The big news has now been confirmed by the director behind last year's box office smash This is Us. Morgan Spurlock has said, according to The Mirror:
"Yes, there will be a follow-up to This Is Us. At this moment Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens. He worked with me and is a great producer."
Here's hoping this will make it into the new movie (AKM-GSI)
This time the team are hoping for box office and award season success, with Spurlock suggesting 1D's boss Simon Cowell is gunning for an Oscar.
"I know Simon Cowell wants the band to get awards for this and was upset when they missed out on being nominated in the music category for an Oscar on our film", the filmmaker reveals of the band's Best Original Song chances for Best Song Ever.
"It was a good song and I was surprised that they weren't even considered. This time he will want them to try again."
