George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin celebrated their engagement this weekend with a star-studded party in Malibu. But apparently it wasn't love at first sight for the British lawyer, who had to be persuaded into dating the Oscar winner.
36 year-old Amal clearly wasn't bowled over by Clooney's A list status and initially played hard to get. But persistent George wasn't going to let the legal brain get away and apparently even tracked down her work email address and bombarded her with messages.
"At first Amal was playing very hard to get and would not take his phone number, which simply made George even more intrigued," a source apparently told The Mirror.
"In the end he managed to get her email address and began sending her a series of flirty messages. He was very up front and joked about the fact they were both considered the hottest people in their respected professions.

"It was all very tongue in cheek but it got the ball rolling. Amal found it funny, but she still made him wait a few days before replying."
"It was George's forward banter which ultimately got them talking," they added. "Once she replied that was it – it's been non-stop ever since."
We really hope it wasn't true as dating because they're the "hot ones" sounds a little high school to us, we can't see Amal falling for that one.
