Gordon Ramsay continues to show off his bizarre new look at food festival in Las Vegas

By Fay Strang

He left passers-by gobsmacked when he stepped out with a jaggered undercut earlier this week.

But Gordon Ramsay doesn't seem perturbed by the reaction to his new look and was seen once again showing it off as he attended Las Vegas Uncork"d festival at Caesar's Palace Pool Of The Gods on Friday night.

The 47-year-old appeared to have tidied up his monk inspired hair-do slightly though as his cut was noticeably sharper as he sipped on a pint while getting into the spirit of the food festival.

When the chef first emerged with his new style, questions were raised as the back of his hair also looked to have been covered in some sort of camouflage substance, perhaps a fibrous spray to give the illusion of hair density.

Suspiciously, the line between his shaved hair and his longer growth isn't blended, which will further raise suspicions.

Normally, if men undergo follicular unit extraction - or FUE - surgery, they are forced to shave part of their head in order for doctors to successfully access the roots, although surgeons such as Dr Reddy in London's Harley Street offer the procedure without this drawback.

Hair loss expert Spencer Stevenson who now hosts The Bald Truth UK radio show - told MailOnline:

'He looks like he is attempting to mask the back of his head - the donor region - with a hair concealer in order to cover the extraction site of a very recent FUE procedure, which leave numerous tell-tale red dots.

'I can't be certain, but I would also assume that Ramsey's long fringe is combed forward to cover the recipient area where he has had work performed.'

Meanwhile on Friday his hair didn't seem to put off his fans as the TV cooking superstar was mobbed by over eager punters lining up to have their photo taken with the TV star, famous in the US for his many hit shows on Fox like Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

Gordon showed that he still is one who dishes up what he advises on his hit shows,  knuckling down to help his chefs cook dishes for punters at the Uncork'd Grand Tasting Event.

One delighted customer Mikey Johnson said: 'Gordon was a star of the night. The minute he arrived all the chefs wanted to say hello to him and when the customers came in he was mobbed.

'His haircut did look okay. It was a lot worse a few days ago and no-one I saw mentioned anything about his hair.'

Food fans paid $220 a ticket for the Uncork'd event in order to get samples of top restauranteurs and chef's dishes and leading alcohol brands.

Gordon was just one of a string of top chefs who gathered for the three day food and drink festival in Vegas.

He will use the event to announce that his fourth Las Vegas dining venture , which will be a London fish-and-chips outlet.

The chef has scored huge success in Sin City with his English place Pub And Grill.
