The Oscar nominee has given a coy but telling answer when questioned about the rumours
Chiwetel Ejiofor has hinted that he has signed up for the next James Bond movie, following an avalanche of rumours this week.
Various media outlets such as The Wrap have said the 12 Years a Slave Oscar nominee is being considered for the next 007 movie, which will be the 24th edition in the popular franchise.
Skyfall's Sam Mendes is back to direct the Hollywood blockbuster while Daniel Craig will return for a fourth time as Bond.
It's thought Chiwetel will play a villain in the new movie which is set to begin shooting this summer in time for the November 2015 release date.

Variety have added that "scheduling would still have to be worked out, but sources insist he is the front-runner for the job."
It looks like Chiwetel may be on board, despite no official confirmation, with the actor giving a telling answer when he was asked about the speculation during a recent interview. According to Yahoo! Movies, when asked if he would like the role, Chiwetel nodded and said: "It's not for me to talk about that really, but it's an extraordinary franchise obviously."
OK so there's nothing concrete in there but that fact that that he's remaining pretty tight-lipped and there's no outright denial is pretty telling in itself.
