Seth Rogen talks about Zac Efrons sex appeal on chat show

By Hanna Flint

They're starring in the new comedy Bad Neighbours, so Seth Rogen and Zac Efron joined Graham Norton on his show to talk about the film.

And one of the first things the host brings up is Zac's intense fans across the globe who can't get enough of the heartthrob.

'There is no demographic that is not seduced by him,' Seth tells Graham in Friday night's episode.

'Women make a noise that I've never heard in my life when they see Zac. I could spend three hours with a woman and she would never make that sound.'

Efron also described the time he had fans come knocking on his glass doors.

'I lived in this case study house it was designed with all windows all around the house. In the middle of the night and there would be people tapping on the glass,' he explained. 'I started keeping a samurai sword by my bed in case.'

That's a lot better than getting curtains,' Seth joked and Zac replied: 'I did have curtains installed and it didn't work and they would still come up.'

That mass appeal is certainly the reason why Zac was cast in the role of fraternity president Teddy Sanders in Bad Neighbours, as the story follows a married couple (Rogen and Rose Byrne) who have to contend with the wild parties of the frathouse next door while looking after their baby girl.

'I was never in a fraternity, but a lot of my friends were so I knew what this character was like,' Efron said. 'I made sure everything was legit on set.'

Rogen admitted that in the past he had been a bad neighbour.

'I used to live with the actor Martin Starr and our neighbour hated us. We would go to McDonalds and shove cheeseburgers down in his mail slot,' Seth remembered.

While Seth had praise for Zac's looks, Zac had nothing but love for Seth's characters over the years.

'His comedy all comes from such an honest place. I've related to every single character that Seth's played,' Efron explained.

Seth also spoke about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who he famously parodied with James Franco in their own version of Kanye's Bound 2 video.

'I love them, Kim Kardashian, is a nice person, there's not exactly a big cannon of work I can refer to but I love Kanye, I love his music and we even shared the same personal trainer,' Seth said.

'We spent more time making our video than he did making his video. It took three days to get it right and he was like "damn that only took us four hours!"'

Seth added: '[Kanye] it's funny, and I've ran into him a couple of times so that's great.'

Graham also presented Seth with a book of art featuring entirely nude drawings of the Canadian actor by the artist Christopher Schulz.

'I never gave permission for this. I've never met him in my life,' Seth said.

' It does make you smile though,' Zac joked.

Also on the show was Matt Le Blanc who was there to promote the new series of Episodes, for which he had to spend a bit of time shooting for in England.

'It's different here,' Matt said. 'In America, you go to a bar at lunchtime it's empty, not here. People are like drinking here then go back and running the crane. It's fine I guess.'

He also joked about the fact that Brits are taking a lot of roles in American TV shows and movies.

'It would be great if it works both way. Americans can't get parts over here, but the English people get parts left right and centre.'

Ricky Wilson and the Kaiser Chiefs were also on the show to perform.
