McBusted have revealed why they believe fans have been so supportive of their tour as a super group.
Having sold out 35 shows across the country since first announcing that the members of McFly would be joined by Busted's James Bourne and Matt Willis, the group have far exceeded the expectations of their original 11-date tour.
Speaking exclusively to the MailOnline, James explained: 'I think being first is very important. What's so special about this is that we didn't try to jump on any bandwagon.
The originals: McBusted have revealed that the originality of their idea has helped to make the super group a success
'It was a really honest idea. That really shines through... people can tell if something's fake.'
Some have argued that the success of McBusted saw a similar project put together for the second series of the ITV2 reality show, The Big Reunion.
Solo artists Dane Bowers, Kenzie, Kavana, Gareth Gates and Adam Rickitt came together to form a new band and performed each other's hit at the show's special concert. They will embark on a tour later this year as Fifth Story.
Starting with a bang: The boys kicked things off in Glasgow, the first of their extensive 35-date-tour
Started a trend: Some would aruge that the success of McBusted saw a similar project named Fifth Story put together for the second series of the ITV2 reality show, The Big Reunion
However, McFly's Tom Fletcher admitted that he doesn't think many bands would be able to create a super group with as much ease as McBusted did.
He said: 'I don't think there's many bands who have a genuine crossover as much as ours do. No one else can do it.
'No one else can do it in genuine sense. A lot of bands can come together and make something work but for us it's genuine. '
Tom added: 'I was nearly in Busted. We went to school with each other... our bands just blur into one.'
Unique: Tom Fletcher explained that 'a lot of bands can come together and make something work but for us it¿s genuine'.
Surprisingly, the group weren't sure how fans would react to the idea when they first began to plan the tour.
Matt Willis explained: 'None of us expected this to happen. We all thought it was a cool idea.
'When we first came up with it, it was like "Oh yeah, why don't we do that. That sounds like a really cool thing to do." We just didn't know if everyone else would agree.'
But with a sold out tour and a headline slot at the British Summer Time festival in July, it is clear that fans just can't get enough of the group.
Never say never: Instead of exploiting their current popularity and rushing out an album, the band have said they will only record new music together at a time that feels natural
Instead of exploiting their current popularity and rushing out an album, the band have said they will only record new music together at a time that feels natural.
Tom said: 'We've love to make an album, but we're not just gonna promise that' we're going to do it.'
Harry Judd joked: 'If we do let's call it schmalbum. The album schmalbum.'
McFly spent a period of last year recording a new album but have put the release on hold to focus on the supergroup.
Tom explained: 'We recorded an album and then this happened. We were meant to release an album in February and we just felt that McBusted required all our attention.
'It would have been a bit weird for us to be going off! and going on McFly promotion and then touring with McBusted.
'We didn't want it to be confusing and we wanted everyone excitement and passion focused on McBusted. So that album's on hold at the moment.'
Not going anywhere: With a sold out tour and a headlining slot at the British Summer Time festival in July, it is clear that fans just can't get enough of the group
