Chris Brown won't be a free man anytime soon with a judge ordering him back to jail until June after delaying the singer's misdemeanour assault trial, but what does that mean for his album 'X' which is set for release next month?
The 'Don't Judge Me' singer has been preparing to release his long-awaited sixth album on May 5 with fans eagerly anticipating the record since it was first pushed back last year from its original release date of July 16.

Despite his various legal woes and rehab stint, Chris, 24, has been adamant with his promotion for the record having already releasing the singles 'Fine China,' 'Don't Think They Know' and 'Love More' featuring Nicki Minaj.
The controversial R&B star clearly still has pulling power as his latest single 'Loyal,' which features Lil Wayne, French Montana, Tyga and Too Short, has proved to be a huge hit peaking at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 13 in the UK while the music video has so far clocked up more than 42 million views on YouTube since it premiered on March 24.
He has hit a slight stumbling block though as his collaboration with Ariana Grande, 'Don't Be Gone For Too Long,' was delayed last month when he was sent to jail after violating his rehab and probation terms. The track was just days away from premiering and Ariana appears to have brushed it aside to promote her own new single 'Problem.'
Chris' team have remained silent so far on what will happen with the album and there has been little promotion for the record in recent months.
However, while the 'Turn Up The Music' singer is locked up for the time being, it's still possible that he could release the album from jail and it's certainly happened in the past – remember when Lil Wayne released his eighth album 'I Am Not A Human Being' in 2010 while in jail? It also went to number one!
So while the future of 'X' remains sketchy at the moment, what's next for Chris and his legal troubles?
Well, his assault trial has been delayed by a Washington D.C. judge following the conviction of his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy, who is now appealing his sentencing. Chris is said to be heading back to a Los Angeles jail where he'll wait for the trial to begin in June.
Until then, we'll be watching to see if 'X' drops on May 5!
