Former footballer Paul Gascoigne looked back to his old self in an image taken during a recent trip back to the North-East alongside his niece Lauren.
Standing proudly beside her tanned and healthy- looking uncle, Lauren captioned the picture: 'This is literally the bet uncle in the world! So happy he's home and healthy. #Like #uncle #proud.'
It comes amid reports that the recovering alcoholic is slowly but surely rebuilding ties with his family following his three month stint in rehab at the start of this year.

According to close friend Lizzie Cundy , the 46-year-old's relationship with family members has become his number one concern while rebuilding his life.
She told the Daily Star: 'He's building great relationships with his family. I know Sheryl is so pleased he's doing well.
'She and Bianca have had a lot of ups and downs with him but he's a big part of their lives. I know a lot of friends were feeling let down because they tried to him and he wouldn't listen. Now he can show them he's changed.'

The former WAG, who believes he's an inspiration to others in his situation, also revealed that he has been looking after himself physically as well as mentally and is in the best shape he's been for years.
Earlier this month the former England star was seen looking in great shape while hanging out with his old Spurs playing mate Gary Mabbutt.
The two best buddies sat and chatted whilst taking in the sun on the balcony of Gazza's Bournemouth flat following his stint in rehab after booze is thought to have nearly killed him.
It was at a charity event in February of last year in Northampton where Gazza hit truly rock bottom.
Some of the stars of the game including Gary Lineker and English captain Steven Gerrard shared the cost! to have Gazza sent to the £7,500-a-week Cottonwood Clinic in Arizona.

It was while he was there that Gazza was close to death as the treatment clinic tried to detox him but when they couldn't they instead rushed him to hospital.
Having managed to survive that scare, the former Newcastle, Spurs and Lazio star was soon back on the drink and back down the pub.
With his weight dropping and his health disintegrating he was sent to a Southampton clinic for a one month rehab spell, which was followed by two more months' treatment in Arizona and that appeared to do the trick.
