She's got a penchant for bad boys, and it seems Katy Perry's taste might not be changing.
Married to bawdy Russell Brand and then in a long-term relationship with ladies man John Mayer, the 29-year-old obviously likes men with a bit of a past... and her alleged new beau certainly has that.
She was spotted canoodling with her long-term friend, EDM star Diplo, at Coachella last weekend, and Radar Online are reporting that he too has a bit of a rep.

Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, has admitted to be having been arrested multiple times, and was even ordered into anger management classes after one bar fight.
It took place at the The Standard hotel in New York City back in 2011 after the DJ was invited to work with Beyonce on her album.
'I got arrested,' he admitted.
'My bags were just in my room at the Gansevoort for three days,' Diplo said. 'They thought I got kidnapped.'
'Nobody in Beyonce's camp knew about it, but I thought It was embarrassing,' he told GQ. 'I had to go to court a bunch of times and had to go to anger management courses.'

The star, who dated British rapper M.I.A for five years and has one son from another relationship, added of his own past: 'I've been in jail a couple times. I've been caught shoplifting. I've been caught doing graffiti …'
According to Radar, the Mississippi-born star was arrested in Florida on February 13, 1999, for misdemeanor second degree trespassing but the case was later dropped.
The two were spotted flirting over the weekend, as they partied at the Coachella music festival in California.
