Ariana Grande has spoken out on Rihanna's fit of the giggles during her iHeartRadio Music Awards performance last week.
Rihanna was shown on camera laughing as Ariana performed her new single 'Problem' at the iHeartRadio Awards last Thursday night, with debate soon raging between fans as to whether RiRi was poking fun at the younger star.
During an interview earlier today with Australia radio program The Bump Show, Ariana was insistent that Rihanna was simply enjoying her performance:
"I didn't see her laughing at me, but when I watched it afterwards, it looked like she was just shocked because I was doing something different," the singer explained.

Ariana added that the Diamonds singer was super sweet to her when they ran into each other backstage:
"Afterwards, she was so kind to me, she was like, 'Lil' mama keep doing what you're doing because it's working." Grande continued, "I thought it was funny that people tried to make such a commotion out of it when she was just being playful and supportive".
"People are always trying to make a big deal out of nothing because they're bored."
