5 Seconds Of Summer fans stuck together over the weekend after haters fired abuse at band member Ashton Irwin, but despite going through a pretty tough time, the drummer has vowed to carry on and not let the Twitter trolls get to him, thanking his huge fanbase for being "f**king amazing."
It's not known exactly what started the hate, but Ashton has dealt with the whole thing like a pro, taking to Twitter this evening to promise that he wouldn't let the remarks affect his music.
Irwin first took to Twitter yesterday to share a rather deep quote: "A heart that hurts is a heart that works" before he then seemed to change his mood slightly earlier today, sharing a pic of himself and bandmate Luke Hemmings on stage, alongside the caption: "love this guy, so happy to be playing shows again, and being behind my drums, x"

He then added, with a cheeky wink: "You guys never fail me, people will always talk, whoever supports us keep being f**king awesome, and I'll just keep on drumming" (sic)

The hate seemed to spiral out of control at the weekend when Ashton took to Twitter to defend his band against some of the online abuse they seem to be receiving at the moment.
"Be with us, or against us, don't like what we are doing, it's fine, this is the real s**t, all for the fans, don't dare tell me otherwise," the musician posted.
Soon afterwards, extremely hurtful hashtags such as keepcuttingashton and ashtonyourenotgoodenough started circulating, but 5SOS fans had his back the whole way. Good job, guys!
