We're used to seeing Pharrell Williams Happy thanks to his smash hit tune, but during a chat with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday night viewers saw the music man break down in tears.
The 41-year-old was the special guest on the talk show queen's show last night where he discussed his career and family life. It was when Oprah played a clip of fans around the world, doing the "Happy dance" that Pharrell got emotional though.
"I don't know why I'm crying!" he laughed, as he wiped away his tears after watching the super cute video. "It makes me cry, too!" Winfrey chimed in.
The star also talked about adjusting to life in the spotlight with the last two years bringing him success at the Grammys and an Oscar nomination for Happy. After years working behind the scenes as a writer and producer, the talented star admits "I was happy being the guy standing next to the guy".

The last few years have also seen Pharrell marry his longterm girlfriend Helen Lasichanh with the couple parents to their four-year-old son, Rocket. And there's a story behind that unusual name!
"In the same way the Indians named their children after a force or animal or element, we named him after a man-made machine that was meant to go up, meant to ascend," Williams explained.
