Chris Brown Supported In Court By Karrueche Tran As Washington D.C Assault Trial Is Delayed

Chris Brown's assault trial in Washington D.C has already been delayed after the judge in the case put off the verdict of the star's bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, who is also charged with misdemeanour assault in relation to the same incident last October.

The men are charged with punching Parker Adams, 20, outside of a Washington hotel last year, the alleged victim claims after Brown refused to take a photo with him, leaving him with a broken nose. District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Patricia Wynn said she would need until Monday to consider the case and verdict.

Following testimony on Friday the judge told the court: "I'm not ready to return a verdict now," The verdict of the case is being decided by the judge rather than a jury. Brown is accused of hitting the same man seconds before Hollosy.

His trial will begin once a verdict in the first is delivered, the delay is believed to have caused a three day wait for Brown and his legal team. Mother Joyce Hawkins and on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran were in court on Friday to support the star at a pre-trial hearing.

Hollosy didn't testify in his case, but it's believed Brown will take the stand and will face a similar prosecution case to that of the bodyguard. The outcome of this case has huge consequence for the 24 year-old.

His probation was revoked in December following the assault charges. If he's found guilty could be forced to spend four years in jail for violating the terms of his probation following a 2009 conviction for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna.
