Brad Pitt Signs Up To New Stanley A. McChrystal Movie With Animal Kingdom Director David Michôd

Brad Pitt is to star in a new movie directed by Animal Kingdom's David Michôd about the career of General Stanley McChrystal with the tentative title 'The Operators'.

Michôd will write and direct the project following McChrystal's time as a commanding general of international and U.S forces in Afghanistan, with Brad's Plan B, New Regency and RatPac Entertainment signed on to back the project, Deadline reports.

The movie will see Pitt signed on as a producer as well as being infront of the camera, Brad Weston, New Regency's president and CEO confirmed yesterday. It's believed Michael Hasting's book about the general will form the basis for the story.

The deal comes after another movie back by the New Regency and RatPac partnership with Plan B, 12 Years A Slave, stormed award season, with the Steve McQueen directed film picking up the Oscar for Best Picture.

Looks like Brad, who was also producer on 12 Years A Slave, is continuing to work infront and behind the camera. The actor also appears to be sticking to his theme of war following his latest movie Fury where he plays a Sherman tank commander.
